SLAS MASTERS PRIZE

DEADLINE 28 February

 

The prize was instituted in 2022 and is awarded to an essay on a Latin American topic based on coursework or a dissertation submitted as part of a Masters programme at a UK institution. The monetary value of the prize is £600.

To enter the competition the essay should be:

  • in Microsoft word

  • double spaced

  • a maximum of 8000 words in length (including notes and bibliography).

 

A panel of judges for the prize will be appointed by the SLAS Committee, and the winner will normally be notified within approximately six weeks of the deadline. Entries should not have been published, or be under consideration for publication. The winner and other highly commended entrants may be invited by the editors to submit their essay to the Bulletin of Latin American Research (subject to the usual Editorial procedures). Entrants must be members of SLAS.
