New members of editorial team sought for Bulletin of Latin American Research

The editors of the Bulletin of Latin American Research (the journal of the Society for Latin American Studies) are looking to appoint new editors to join the existing team of six. We are temporarily increasing the size of the editorial team due to an increase in the number of special issues we are working on and in anticipation of some colleagues’ terms of office ending. We invite expressions of interest from SLAS members (to become a member of SLAS, please subscribe via Wiley: https://ordering.onlinelibrary.wiley.com/Lite/Membership.aspx?ref=0261-3050). The editors are particularly keen to provide more coverage in Cultural Studies, Anthropology, Gender Studies and Development Studies.

We warmly encourage applications from academics belonging to groups who may have been under-represented in such positions in the past. Appointment will be for an initial three-year term, renewable for a further three years, subject to approval. The current BLAR editors will select the new editor, with consideration for EDI principles and subject to ratification of the appointment by the SLAS committee. Editors are paid an annual honorarium in recognition of their services.

Please send a c.v. and a statement of up to 300 words indicating why you are interested and why you think you would make a good member of the editorial team to the BLAR editors, via Dr Eamon McCarthy, SLAS Secretary, slaslatam@gmail.com. Your email should be received by 30 November.

Any informal queries about the nature of the role can be addressed to the BLAR Coordinating Editor, Dr Juan Pablo Ferrero, jpf22@bath.ac.uk
