Students from many different disciplinary backgrounds take up Latin American studies at the Masters and PhD level. Previous academic study of the area is not necessary, but a lively intellect and a keen interest in the subject will help students to study Latin America at the postgraduate level.
Again, the list in this section of the website will provide core information and will link to a wide variety of postgraduate programmes available in the UK.
The postgraduate association PILAS is an independent organisation closely associated with SLAS. PILAS holds its own annual conference and runs a session at the SLAS Annual Conference, as well as other initiatives. For more information about PILAS please click here [external site].
