17 October 2008               Borders and traffic - comparative perspectives on teaching the Americas Subject Centre for Languages, Linguistics and Area Studies (LLAS) and the Centre for Latin American Studies at Swansea (CLASS), University of Swansea.

7-8 November 2008        Seminar on the Role of Civil Society and Academia in Promoting a more Active Citizenship in Central America in Response to the Challenges of Globalization, Centre for International Studies, Dublin City University. See attachment for details.

Jean Franco Research Studentship          Birkbeck, College, University of London. Available to applicants for the M.Phil. and Ph.D. programmes, covers full-time College fees and living expenses according to need, up to the amount awarded by the UK Research Councils. Its normal duration is three years full-time. Holders may be undertaking some teaching at undergraduate level in their area of expertise. See attachment for details.
