Latin America scholars based in the UK undertake an impressive range of research across the arts and social sciences, as well as participating policy-related activity. This multi-disciplinarity enriches our academic field, but it often means that we are scattered around many different disciplinary departments or schools.
'The Handbook' is a very useful tool in helping to build academic communities and strengthen connections between Latin Americanists. Located on the Institute for the Study of the Americas website, it allows us to search for colleagues from a wide and comprehensive database. It provides an important academic and media contact resource.
